How long do your hair-appointments take? What do they consist of? Because I went to Aveda today at my cut and color went into 3 hours...and I've gotten used to that In Japan.

p.s. sticking with Aveda, they did a much better job than Earth...and my stylist looks a lot like VIncent Price wearing a funny japanese hipster wig, which didn't fail to make me smile.

I have to admit, I only just go to the barbershop, so it takes around 15 minutes, but the entire experience does depend on how many people are in line (usually I have to wait on 1 or 2 people).

Even with barbers some are chattier than others. I always go to the same place, we do make some small talk but luckily for the most part I can just be quiet.

With colour it takes two to three hours.
My regular hairdresser is an old family friend, so I don't really mind gossiping for a couple of hours. My other hairdresser sometimes has her cat at the salon with her, so it's nice to spend that time petting and cuddling with Tigger. :)
