Yesterday I came home and checked my mail to see if my costume had arrived...not yet, but there was a package labeled 'beads.'

I haven't ordered any beads! I thought. Have I been sleep shopping for trim now? Is this what it's come to?

Then I remembered that beafarhana had recently asked if I'd be interested in some antique black bead appliques that have been in her family, I said "of course!" and she had sent them to me. Score! Not a crazy bead ordering loonie AND lovely schwag!

They are beautiful and when I have time to make for myself again I will probably use them with cream satin and pearls and make something classy-classy.

AND that's not all! She also bought me a lovely hand-painted nightslip from Akai silks to celebrate the end of my job-hunt stress. It's black, with red accents and white/pink orchids. My satin summer nighty is dying, so her timing is perfect. It fits me perfectly and I look tropical and supper sexy in it.'

I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear it.
