The papers went through all right! Yay!
On Monday I pay for everything with the new apartment. Ouch but good.
This weekend I've been looking over my furniture and figuring out what needs make-overs.
Today I tackled some of my kitchen stuff. I have a set of shelves I rescued from the trash shortly after I moved in here.I scraped off a bunch of Doraemon stickers from Coco when I first got it (most of them at least) and used it as is.
Before...with a few Doraemon stickers

4-5 years later, the press-board was starting to look pretty nasty. The fake-wood design was turning greenish from the sunlight.
I took the shelves out, sanded them, painted the shelves with gesso and then decoupaged fabric onto them, sanding and layering Matte Medium I have in my art stash. With some spray paint I have from another project I hit the front panel with green paint and let them dry. I also took the outlet out and tossed the rest of the shelved into the shower to scrub the fuck outa them.
The end result is a great deal better than before and beats moving a crappy set or springing for a new one
