More Fabric

Today I went to Immigration to finalize my visa extension (another 3 years) and my unlimited re-entry permit. After paying for that, some bills, and 47,000 painfull yen in the start of this year's pension fund gouging I headed home for more crafting on my "going to immigration" day off.

I'm starting to see the end in sight...when I move I'll have to make a few sets of curtains and look into getting a kitchen table, and before I move I need a new-to-me rangetop (propane, but city gas like I have now) and probably a new-to-me microwave.

I think I am nearly done with the craft/furniture frenzy. I have two projects to finish and one more seat to cover and I'm done.

SInce this picture I've trimmed away the scraps hanging down on the table edge. I used the scrap fabric and a tension pole from the dollar store to make an under-table curtain that I can move back a little further when there is less junk under the table...but can still use it to stash in-process projects.

This is part of my desk. I hadn't planned to go this bright..but my first decoupage project on my desk..butterflies...annoyed the shit out of me. It looked too crafty and too whimsicle fuckery-esque.  A few nights ago I ripped it all up and decided "Fuck it, I like orange...go get the birdies.."

I will probably use any left over fabric to cover a second clock-face.

And, last, one of the two chairs I bought used when I moved in here. Over the years the white covers have gotten pretty shabby. I pulled the overs off and then allen-wrenched and swore until I could get the canvas base off the metal chair stricture so that I could bleach and wash what would be remaining...then I started making new covers for the foam cushions and such. The second chair will be more complex and will be my last craft project, probably next weekend.

You can still see my pink chalk marks.
