I can so very empathize with the Asthma. This year has been weird for it. Do you have a rescue inhaler? Can you get one? I've learned that while mine doesn't normally bother me that having an inhaler nearby is a good thing.
Also, from my own experience I find that eucalyptus oil can help. I carry around a little bottle in my purse as well as a few cotton balls to sprinkle it on. The stuff opens up airways like mad. The other thing I do with it is sprinkle a few drops in a humidifier or bath and inhale the steam. You can also mix 1 or 2 drops into a carrier oil for a chest rub if that works for you. That particular use isn't as effective for me but the other ways really help. But some people don't react well to the smell. It is up to you.
