I'm feeling a much better ( caught a virus...no shock, eh?)

I need to blog about the Kae Nation show I was part of. It was awesome and Joe throws a great show by getting a full range of dancers and troupes who are professional in all senses.

But that will wait until I am back to work and have a long lunch to type away at my iPad.

It was probably the first time in ages I wasn't all zilled up, but I knew Kae Mongomery's tribal women would be using Zills, so it wouldn't be a zill-less show.

I wanted my Turkish Roma to not rely in on zill play, because that's not a huge part of that dance and sometimes I need to strip to basics...and, after a quick change, I hit the stage for my first time with fan veils. Big ups go to the Fabulous Fan Veilzzz DVD (you rock) and the Fan Veil DVD from Cheeky Girls for helping me get up to speed and try something I didn't even know I'd wanted to try.

I hope to get some good pictures of the fan veils. I was serving up "quirky princess realness" and using music from local group Katsura Mazurza who I often work with.

I do have a quick shot, taken by Peter Blake, of some of my first act.
