parasitegirlI started my morning of work in the English room, sewing. As the days grow shorter I spend more mornings in the English room, facing the sun. The Harissa belts have a lot of little things to do by hand for me to stay busy with in slow hours.
The niggling handwork is my fault. I once mentioned to Anaan that it wouldn't be that hard to modify the Tempest corset belts so that they'd have detachable skirt panels / you could change the panels...she remembered.
No, not that hard...but 2 layers of skirt panels (a long velvet panel and then a shorter panel of layered lace) on three 5 panel skirts equals: 39 tiny hook and eye sets and 39 tiny snap sets.
Because, I don't know when to keep my mouth shut.
Recently I have been thinking about my precious sewing machine, the hearty "Merritt Mini" which has served me well. It's held up and doesn't argue much. It survived all that fake fur with the monster bags. It helped me decorate on a budget.
I then I spent a large chunk of my free-time at work figuring out how the Japanese Yahoo Auctions work, how to register, and looked at used sergers. Japan HAS Ebay, but it's not popular or well used. Ive even found girls my age who've never heard of it. Yahoo's the main game.
Ha! Your language cannot thwart me Japan! Today I was called upon to make small talk about proficiency test in American schools! After that I LAUGH at your auction complexity. It's these little victories.
The thing that most appeals to me about Yahoo Auctions.Jp is that sellers prefer to be paid in bank-transfers and I can do that at any ATM in Japan. Click click click...zoooom! No dealing with credit cards!
