Final stretch

parasitegirlI thought I was about finished with Henna's costume...and then I had to admit that the long gold fringe on the belt is overpowering the whole and leaving it looking drab. My attempts to bring the gold color up into the costume thus far were too subtle.

I sighed and edged the bra with sequins and beads. It helped make it look more finished and brought the gold up.
It looks worlds better on, but I'm tired.
Tomorrow I will seam rip some of the lining out of the belt and will be hand-beading an edge there as well.
Work tomorrow looks like it will be slow. I might very well bead, finish, and line while at work.
Might as well get prepared for the hours of beading ahead of me on Farasha's costume...this one might be coming on the plane with me to Seattle...unless work is suuuuuuper slow. The good thing about Farasha is that she's so petite the surface area of the costume is much smaller than I've ever beaded...although the size 100% prevents me from trying it on to see how it looks.
I used one of her belts to get an idea of how to fit the "cupped butt" shape. It's easier for her to send me a belt than for us to meet up somewhere to measure and try-on at this point. When I got the belt I keep marveling how tiny it is.
