I have a pair of red mini-style Melodia pants. They are a smidge too short, it took me a few blunders finding the perfect size of Melos for me, and I soon realized that I don't much like the mini-style.

So I've cut this stencil and I'm customizing mine for fun street-wear, this is the start.

I sometimes rip out pages from fashion mags for an informal design journal. The print is mostly based off this amazing fabric I saw used for a dress in a Japanese magazine.

Ooh, that looks cool! I'd use something like that in a costume anyway - the stencils look awesome.

With the design I like the pants a whole lot more, I'll use them for performance and street. I gutted some of the elastic because it was giving me "muffin top" where I know I usually don't have it. The pants and I are friends again.

That looks great- I'd use them in a costume (err, if I was fusing, which I don't) and I'd use them in class.

Did you use fabric paint for the stencils?

Yup, craft acrylic mixed with fabric paint medium. I'll need to heat set them with an iron tomorrow.
