Fire surgery starts

When this is finished I will put together a whole entry that shows the process from start to finish.
I just finished the most terrifying part of the bra surgery.
The cutting:

Once you have a box with the little limbs that used to be the ribcage band...you know there is no going back.

I cauterized the wound edge with the stretchy fabric used for the lining and started covering the edge a bit with beads.

This is the shape of the cups with the band as it had been. Shallow ovals lacking love.
Seriously, in the original pictures on Tribe (before Mirabai) I figured the bad fit was due to the center strap system ...(sigh)
If the tension from the rib-band is moved lower on the form the cups become ample, like this!

Next, fabricating the ribcage bands from scratch and parts.
