I think I am mostly ready!

I purchased fake nails and temporary adhesive and painted them to match my costumes ( my true nails are usually a mess...do you know how much I work with my hands?) I've removed my nail polish, but repainted my toes a "neutral color" (sparkly copper)

I've ironed many veils. I've thought, "Do I really need to use this veil? the less I iron, the more I sleep"

I ironed, and then rehemmed, and  then re-ironed a red satin skirt I never use but picked up for 25$USD... because I think it will look good with the fire set doing Zar. I wish I had red silk...but que sera.

I checked and finished all my serged edges.

I packed BD Japan Magazines for the make-up artist to flip through and get a feel for BD make-up.

I've packed costumes and acessories. My luggage is the size that I usually reserve for visiting back home.

I haven't eaten cheese for a few days, because it does bloat me a little. I have had 2 espressos.

I packed my zills.

And I've just finished packing CDs

Appropo of nothing...last weekend a friend of mine got made up like a Planet of the Apes chimp for a convention, they had a live 'horror host' style show on Saturday night featuring 'The Robot Monster' and he was part of the show. His wife is a belly dancer and gave him her zills which he brought out and did the little fez-wearing-cymbal-playing-monkey routine using her zills to good laughter all around. Weird, eh?

iron the veils, just in case. it's always a bummer to get to a shoot and wish you had that ONE veil. they are so dramatic on film! and you never know what kind of background you'll be using.
