Upkeep of costumes

parasitegirlMy place is clean and I'm waiting for pasta to be done.
Today I finish cleaning and putter around doing some costume upkeep. Today: new lining on the straps and teathering down kuchi bits on my blue tribaret costume. My neck is sore from last night, but that's what happens when I wear the heavy coin costume...carrying the weight of your chest and at least two pounds of coins via a strap around your neck looks great...but it has consequences. Still, I rarely wear the costume and it has the "OMG I am the Bellydancer you were imagining!" iconic punch.
Anatolia was packed again. Pretty damned hard to do barrel turns in that space, but I have learned how! And I'm getting better at the drumsolo on a chair thing.
Legend only has one reservation for tonight, so I'll call later and see if they need me or not. It wouldn't bother me to have an off night tonight. Daniel from the Chiba-Wisconsin program of yore is coming up from Osaka today. Tonight he's crashing in my front room and tomorrow he heads to Narita to see his old co-workers. If I don't have to dance we'll just head into Tokyo and meet his mates at a pub and all bond as loud gaijin...if I dance I'll have to put on my make-up and pull my costume to the pub after I finish. This is the other reason I am fixing up costumes and not wearing the coin two nights in a row...want light luggage.
