really pretty. you do such great work. any chance you'll share your secret method of making beaded cut outs? how do you reinforce the edges of the cut out?
I wish I'd taken pictures of the process. I Machine zigzag-stitched the shapes I wanted through the top layer of velvet into a layer of felt on the WS of the fabric. Then I carefully cut away the felt leaving 1.5 cm thick felt lines stitched to the velvet. I then cut the velvet at the center of the shapes and folded it back, covering the felt edges and stitchign the excess velvet in place on the inside of the skirt/shapes.
