Ok. I loves me some themed costumes...I suspect my next few handmades (and I know Eshe's) will be clearly themed.

Uuuuuuuh. NO I haven't.

I need to. I reaaaaaallly need to.In front of my laptop right now is my sketch pad. I am going to try to tackle a "old school/sailor jerry" tattoo themed bedlah and that requires precise sketchs and layout in a way my costumes usually don't. I'm thinking bleeding heart with blood-fringe for the bra-center...

here's one photo, from Ahlan wa Sahlan 2009. It's kind of a small photo, but you can see the heart on her left breast with a golden knife stuck through it, and then that draping beadwork is blood red. No idea who made it. Denise Marino used to have a whole gallery posted on her website from Ahlan wa Sahlan 2009 including a bunch of Dina in this costume but I can't find it now :-(

Meant to add, I believe I remember from other photos that the costume also features large black pailettes on the bra and belt area.

i have the pleasure of knowing CR. i remember her when she was a baby bder. she came to all my events. these photos are post TWO babies. she's one of the many that deserve more buzz than the $#%^ that get it. it's seems post babies she is finally banging her drum.

I would love to see a spider costume where the spiders body covers the chest & then has long legs that wrap around the torso almost like bondage straps and then the skirt is all shimery pewter & black webbing (maybe even extending down from the back of the spider, if that's not too much!)...
