The Rooster's brain, however, messaged me today to tell me that he's recently started seeing someone and could we be friends?

I am 100% on for Monday's gokon (single's meeting party) with a fellow belly dancer. 7 men, 7 women, all Japanese except me. I told her (in Japanese, she doesn't speak English) the back story of the texting idiocy. She laughed and agreed that I needed a fun experience after that...and even if I didn't meet someone it would still be a fun, exciting, experience.
And contacted a FWB to say "you know how I've been dating so we're back to hanging out and not cashing in on benefits? Well...that's OVER!"
