Buggirl's Increasingly Strange Tokyo Tales...

I finished the halter top on Sunday.

This is what the outfit looks like (when I am sick and have greasy sick hair)( Where is Pan? )

I've started on the 6 panel belts for me and Eshe. I finished sewing all the bases (12 total) last night and now it's time for simple surface embellishments. This weekend I'll pick up hair and fixings for the tassels.

I should be dancing more, but I've also got a headcold and am trying to figure out the right balance of dance/yoga and dead-sleep for killing the cold.

The aspects of the fabric that I love make it bloody hard to photograph. The whole belt is about simplicity and different ways changes light makes the belt shimmer in different ways. At some angles the brass of the 5 yen coins pops, at others the gold thread of the design pops and so on with rivets/ AB crystals... and some angles it is simple and pink.

I may make some upper arm bands that lace up to match the belt.... after the belt comes the simple flower circlets for our hair.
